  1. I make soda bread every St Patrick’s Day for my family and all my Irish neighbors . I use flour etc but I add caraway seeds and raisins and only 1 tablespoon of sugar. Sugar was a luxury in Ireland so raisins were substituted to add the sweetness. That I was told by my Irish friends . I love soda bread with warm butter and hot tea
